Cardboard Tube Bunnies and Chicks

Transform upcycled supplies into these cute animal figures. Use colorful party napkins for clothes (and the chick's nose), cardboard tubes for the bodies, and card stock for the bunny ears. Draw on faces with black and pink paint pens.

Napkin Bunny

To make these adorable napkin bunnies, fold a square dinner napkin in half diagonally into a triangle shape (have an adult iron it flat first to make the DIY easier). Starting at the top of the triangle, roll the entire napkin, then place a decorated egg right above the center of the roll. Finally, gather the ends at the top so the napkin wraps around the egg and tie it with ribbon to create ears.

Stencil Easter Eggs

Kids can emblazon eggs with their names or cute Easter-related phrases using letter stickers. Press a sticker firmly onto a hard-boiled egg. Stipple dots around the letter with a paint pen, starting with dense dots and gradually spreading them out into an oval shape. Let dry, then have an adult remove the sticker with a craft knife. Hot-glue opposite ends of a plastic egg together to make a colorful holder.

Gumball Machine Easter Eggs

To make these deceptively easy gumball machine eggs, cut off the bottom of a mini red plastic cup and glue the piece onto the top of an egg. Attach colorful dot stickers as gumballs. Flip the cup upside down and put a strip of silver tape on the front of the cup, wrapping one end over the cut cup edge. Hot-glue a soda tab over the tape. Glue the egg inside the cup base.

Kids' Umbrella Door Hanging

A kids' umbrella is the centerpiece of this adorable project. Have the kids fill the inside of the umbrella with the flowers and greenery, then an adult should trim ends as needed using wire cutters. Tie a ribbon around the middle to hold everything in place, and you're done.
